Oltre il Mare / Preko Mora
Dalla pagina Facebook attivata come supporto di questo progetto l’artista ha rivolto una call a tutte le reti dei suoi conoscenti e amici sia in Italia che in Croazia, chiedendo di pubblicare lì un’immagine che fosse legata ad un ricordo o ad un sentimento. Una sequenza di queste immagini sarà proiettata nella sala multimediale all’interno della Ex fornace e corredata da un certo numero di stampe fotografiche disposte in ordine sparso sui tavoli presenti nella sala collocati secondo un allineamento perpendicolare con lo schermo come un grande molo il cui prolungamento ideale finisce al mare. In Croazia avverrà un’analoga proiezione ottenuta con una sequenza di immagini provenienti dalla stessa pagina Facebook che riporterà una documentazione delle due proiezioni italiana e croata.
Questo il testo del messaggio che l’artista lancia nel web:
Vi invito a pubblicare immagini, frammenti di esperienze fatte in Italia o in Croazia specificando da quale delle due parti proviene il ricordo... Raccolte le immagini proietterò le immagini dei croati in Italia e viceversa degli italiani in Croazia, per rompere le barriere fisiche del territorio (in questo caso il mare), per riscrivere il paesaggio mettendo in luce il patrimonio sentimentale legato al ricordo. Dispositivo relazionale per scambiare esperienze dall’Italia alla Croazia. Vanno bene le foto che vi appartengono sentimentalmente; non c’è vincolo di soggetto: il mare è solo l’ostacolo che cercherò di oltrepassare per proiettare le immagini da una parte all’altra.
L’utilizzo della rete è una precisa scelta formale. Il web 2.0 le cui potenzialità di connessione e riconnessione sono tra gli elementi teorici di studio di questo percorso di residenze per artisti, è l’ambiente nel quale ci troviamo in questo tempo a sperimentare nuovi modi di stabilire legami o di pensare ad essi come ad una risorsa preziosa da non disperdere o banalizzare o confondere.
L’artista individua nel mare un confine non solo fisico ma anche culturale e tenta un superamento nella dimensione dei sentimenti e dell’amicizia. Scambiare “immagini sentimentali” come lui le chiama, significa provare a fidarsi e predisporsi alla conoscenza reciproca su basi comuni.
Questa operazione ha funzionato con un numero enorme di contatti attraverso, oltre al social network, la posta elettronica e il telefono. Questo il testo che l’artista inviava per raccontare e coinvolgere:
Eraclea litorale marittimo dove il margine invalicabile contenitivo del luogo è il mare stesso. Guardando dalla spiaggia verso il mare vediamo un orizzonte piatto senza riferimenti a perdita d’occhio, le increspature esprimono l’umore del mare che riempie tutto. Perso in questo estremo pieno mi coglie un senso di vuoto e il pensiero cerca di andare oltre, oltre il mare. Mi chiedo cosa succede dall’altra parte, mi chiedo delle storie e delle emozioni e di ciò che accade nella parte croata che è all’estremità del mio margine. Momenti e frammenti di vita sono accaduti sia da una parte che dall’altra del mare. Vorrei riscrivere il paesaggio mettendo in luce il patrimonio sentimentale legato al ricordo degli individui che lo abitano o che si sono relazionati col luogo.
From the Facebook page enabled to support this project, the artist has addressed a call to all networks of acquaintances and friends both in Italy and in Croatia, asking for them to publish there an image that was linked to a memory or a feeling. A sequence of these images will be projected in the media room inside the “Ex fornace” and accompanied by a number of photographic prints arranged in any order on the tables present in that room, tables placed according to a perpendicular alignment with the screen recalling a large pier whose ideal extension ends at the sea. In Croatia will be a similar projection obtained with a sequence of pictures coming from the same Facebook page that will bring a record of both the Italian and Croatian projections. Once gathered the images I will project collected images of the Croats in Italy and vice versa of Italians in Croatia, to break the physical barriers of the territory (in this case the sea), to rewrite the landscape highlighting the sentimental heritage linked to memory.
